Read this first L’Arche is not a real bag and Maison Roux is not a real company. The house, the leathers, the atelier on the rue de Poitou, the fourteen hours on the docket and the prices were all invented by Ascenta to demonstrate what an immersive product page can do. Nothing on that page is for sale, no order can be placed and no appointment with a leatherworker exists.
1. Who publishes this page
This page is published by Ascenta Studio (“Ascenta”, “we”, “us”), a brand operated by La Factoria LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with its registered address at 8 The Green, Ste B, Dover, DE 19901, USA. You can reach us at hello@ascentastudio.com.
Ascenta designs and builds websites. This page is a portfolio piece: a demonstration of our work, published by us, about a product that does not exist.
2. What this page is, and what it is not
- It is a demonstration. Every claim it makes about a bag — the dimensions, the twenty-two pieces, the seven stitches to the centimetre, the six months in the pits, the fourteen hours, the ten leathers — is fiction written to fill a realistic page.
- It is not an offer. Nothing shown is available to buy, reserve, order or deposit against. Prices are illustrative and bind nobody.
- It is not advice of any kind, and no statement here should be relied on for any purpose other than judging our work.
3. The appointment form
The form at the foot of the page works: it really does send us a message. What it does not do is reserve a bag, because there is no bag. If you write to us through it, you reach Ascenta, and we will reply about building something like this for you — not about L’Arche.
What happens to what you type is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: it is emailed to us, we answer it, and we do not sell it.
4. Ownership
The design, code, text, photography and film on this page belong to Ascenta. You are welcome to look at it, link to it and show it to somebody. You may not copy it, republish it or pass it off as your own work, in whole or in part, without our written permission.
Third-party components are used under their own licences: the typefaces are Instrument Serif and Public Sans, both published under the SIL Open Font License, and the smooth-scrolling library is Lenis, published under the MIT licence.
5. Availability and change
This is a portfolio piece, not a service. We may change it, move it or take it down at any time, without notice. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted or free of error.
6. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ascenta is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this page or from reliance on anything it says about a product that does not exist. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and the courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction — except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring proceedings where you are, in which case that right is unaffected.
